HEALTH SCREENING

PREVENTING AND DETECTING EARLY CANCERS

Contrary to popular belief, cancer can be cured – if it is discovered early. With vast improvements in cancer treatments, the survival rates for patients diagnosed with cancer have greatly increased over the years. By doing appropriate screening investigations, doctors are able to detect growths at a pre-cancerous stage or diagnose cancers at an early stage. Early detection and timely treatment can be given to address the progression of the cancer and often results in good survival outcomes.

The Surgical Oncology Clinic offers the following procedures to facilitate your health screening:

  •     OGD (gastroscopy)
  •     Colonoscopy
  •     Blood Tests
  •     Health Screening Packages

SURVEILLANCE

CLOSE MONITORING AFTER CANCER TREATMENT

After cancer treatment has been completed, regular and routine follow-up consultations should be carried out to monitor your condition. These follow-up consultations usually include a full physical examination by our doctors. In addition, our doctors may also arrange for blood tests and scans as necessary. These scans can include CT scans and PET scans, and we aim to make this time as stress-free for you as possible.
At The Surgical Oncology Clinic, we are dedicated to giving you the utmost care and support after your cancer treatment journey. We believe that cancer care does not end after the surgery and strive to continue to walk this journey with you after your medical and surgical treatment ends. During the follow-up consultations, we will go through the results of any tests or scans done and answer all your questions.
Ultimately, we would love to see you transition towards a better state of health and continue living life to your fullest.
