Surgery is almost always not the sole treatment modality, and Dr Tan will tailor the treatment plan as a team with specialists in Medical Oncology, Hepatology and Gastroenterology, Interventional Radiology and more.

GALLBLADDER AND BILE DUCT SURGERY

Dr Tan is experienced in performing laparoscopic surgery for conditions of the gallbladder and bile duct. He is also trained in ERCP, an endoscopic procedure for removing bile duct stones and relieving bile duct blockage.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY

Laparoscopic surgery greatly reduces post-operative pain, shortens hospital stay and time needed to return to work. Dr Tan performs advanced laparoscopic surgery for conditions involving the gallbladder and bile duct, liver and pancreas.

GENERAL SURGERY AND ENDOSCOPY

Dr Tan performs general surgical procedures such as stomach, colon and bowel resection, hernia repair (minimally invasive), hemorrhoidectomy, as well as endoscopy (OGD and colonoscopy).
