About Dr. Shaun LOH
Dr. Shaun Loh is a Senior Consultant ENT surgeon with over 15 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for all ENT disorders, including hearing loss, nasal blockages and sinus issues as well as throat conditions. While his expertise spans the full spectrum of ENT issues, Dr. Loh has a special interest in managing snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). His goal is to offer tailored, patient-centred care for both common and complex ENT conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual.
At The ENT, Voice & Snoring Clinic (Napier), Dr. Loh combines his extensive experience with a personalized approach to patient care. He takes time to listen to each patient’s concerns, offering a full range of treatments from conservative management to advanced therapies like robotic surgery and hypoglossal nerve neurostimulator implants for sleep apnea. His work is driven by the belief that effective treatment plans should be tailored to each patient’s unique needs and health goals.
Dr. Loh’s dedication to excellence has earned him recognition in the field, particularly for his pioneering work in the treatment of sleep apnea. He is part of the team that introduced hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HNS) surgery to Singapore, and as the only appointed consulting surgeon for Inspire Medical Systems in Singapore, he trains other ENT specialists across Asia in advanced sleep apnea treatments.
Dr. Loh’s medical journey began with his MBBS degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He later pursued specialized training in otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) in 2012. He completed his Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology (MMed ORL) at NUS in 2014 and was honored with the Outstanding Resident Award during his training. His clinical excellence and commitment to patient care are at the core of his practice.
Seeking to further broaden his expertise, Dr. Loh completed advanced fellowship training in orthognathic surgery and sleep medicine at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. This fellowship deepened his understanding of sleep apnea and its multidisciplinary management, especially in Asian patients, allowing him to offer a range of treatment options from lifestyle changes to advanced surgical procedures.
Dr. Loh’s work extends beyond patient care. He is an internationally recognized expert in sleep surgery, frequently invited to speak at major conferences. He has been instrumental in introducing and refining hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HNS) as a treatment for sleep apnea and works closely with Inspire Medical Systems to train ENT surgeons in this innovative therapy.
Dr. Loh has been recognized for his dedication to patient care with multiple awards, including the Service with a Heart Award, which he has received annually from 2017 to 2024, and the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards (Silver in 2017, Gold in 2018). These accolades reflect his commitment to improving the lives of his patients and providing exceptional care for a wide variety of ENT conditions.
While Dr. Loh’s special interest lies in snoring and sleep apnea, his expertise in treating all ENT conditions remains a cornerstone of his practice. Whatever the ENT issue at hand, Dr. Loh offers individualized treatment plans designed to address your specific health needs. His patient-focused approach, combined with his wide-ranging expertise, ensures that all patients receive the most effective and comprehensive care.
