Dr. Melanie SEAH

Dr Melanie Seah embarked on her medical training with the National University of Singapore in 1995 followed by residency training in General Surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. This subsequently led to Fellowship accreditation in General Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.

Upon completion of fellowship training in breast surgery, she was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship by the Ministry of Health to further hone her clinical skills in breast oncoplastic surgery at the Marien Hospital in Dusseldorf, Germany. There she worked alongside Prof Audretsch Werner, an international leader in breast oncoplastic surgery.

She continues to be a Visiting Consultant Breast Surgeon with the one-stop Breast Clinic @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Apart from her passion for clinical work, Dr Seah believes in the importance of mentoring students who will eventually be doctors looking after the generations to come. She served as a senior clinical lecturer with the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and as a Clinical Teacher with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Melanie Seah has presented and lectured at many local and international conferences and has authorship of numerous peer-reviewed indexed medical journals.
